Information for Educators

College Connections Hawaii exists to support the work you do with Hawaii's children.

We partner with more than 60 public and private schools each year, providing students with supplemental tutoring, SAT preparation classes, and college advising.

We value our professional relationships with Hawaii's educators. In fact, more than 90% of CCH staff are currently teachers or counselors in the schools, who work or volunteer at CCH part-time. As a nonprofit organization, we are always looking for innovative new ways to partner with schools and help more of Hawaii's students.

How CCH Helps Students

Since 1999, College Connections Hawaii has developed three major services to provide supplemental help to students and families: Tutoring, College Advising and Test-Preparation Classes. All three programs provide the highest-quality instruction by professional teachers, counselors and tutors.

As a nonprofit, CCH is committed to making its services accessible regardless of a family's ability to pay. Currently, more than 75% of our students receive free or discounted services, based on financial need. By serving students in a growing number of communities across the state, CCH is continually breaking down barriers to educational opportunity.

Working At CCH

At College Connections Hawaii, we hire our teachers and counselors very carefully.  Most of CCH's approximately 200 employees have graduate degrees and/or teaching credentials. Many are teachers and counselors in private and public schools. More importantly, we seek people who have a talent for working with young people. Classes, tutoring and college advising services take place after school and on weekends.
