College Prep Timeline

12th Grade March to April

Schools notify you of acceptances or rejections and financial aid packages.

Parents analyze the family's budget and, if necessary, talk with college financial aid officials regarding the proposed aid package.

 

12th Grade May

Select the college you will attend. Congratulations!

Notify colleges you won't attend that you decline their offers.

If applicable, take Advanced Placement (AP) tests for possible college credit.

Graduate!

 

12th Grade Summer

Communicate with your college regarding class registration, room and board, transportation, roommates, orientation, etc.

Warm up for college by taking a class in college study skills, working on a recommended reading list, or enrolling in a course at a local college.
